8th Eastern Hungary Cup – International Senior, Junior, Youngsters, Recreational and Adult Figure Skating Competition Miskolc - Hungary 09-10 November, 2013
COMPETITION INVITATION
Organizer of the competition: Figure Skating Club “Havasszépe SE. és Jégszínház” Location of the competition: Ice Hall of Miskolc (indoor arena: 30m x 60m, http://www.miskolcivsz.hu/jegcsarnok.html ), 3530 Miskolc, Görgey A. u. 19. Date of the competition: 09-10 November, 2013
Objective of the competition: providing the senior, junior, youngsters’, recreational and adult skater with the opportunity to compete. Entries: All ISU members and clubs, members of National Figure Skating Federations associated in I.S.U., are invited to take part at the competition. Entry Forms should be used! Entries must be done with the attached Entry Forms. The entry forms, the “Program Content Sheet” must be returned to the Organizing Committee in time. It is mandatory that the Program Content Sheet must be filled in precisely by each Skater in English using the terminology for the elements listed in the respective ISU Communication. NOVICE CATEGORIES
Novice Categories will be held in accordance with the ISU Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating 2012 and the respective ISU Communications (ISU Communications 1649, 1670). Age requirements set according to General Regulations 2012 Rule 108, paragraph 2.d) and subsequent updates. “In International Novice Competitions a Novice is a Skater who has met the following requirements before July 1st preceding the competitions: i) has reached at least the age of ten (10); ii) has not reached the age of fifteen (15).”
Advanced Novice Boys Short Program In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2012 and the respective ISU Communications Duration: 2 min., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec Free Skating In accordance with ISU Technical Rules Single and Pair Skating 2012 and the respective ISU Communications Duration: 3 min., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec

Single Skating Basic Novice – Girls and Boys
Basic Novice B (older subgroup) Age requirements a.) Has reached at least the age of thirteen (13) for girls and boys b.) Has NOT reached the age of fifteen (15) for girls and boys
Free Skating A well balanced free skating program has to meet with the respective ISU Communications 2012. Duration: 3 min., +/- 10 sec for boys and girls
Basic Novice A (younger subgroup) Age requirements a.) Has reached at least the age of ten (10) for girls and boys b.) Has NOT reached the age of thirteen (13) for girls and boys
Free Skating A well balanced free skating program has to meet with the respective ISU Communications 2012. Duration: 2 min., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec for boys and girls

NON ISU - CUBS categories Single Skating – Cubs 2004/2003 girls and boys Age requirements: Born after 1st of July 2003 and in 2004 Single Skating – Cubs 2005 girls and boys Age requirements: Born in 2005 Single Skating – Cubs 2006 girls and boys Age requirements: Born in 2006 Single Skating – Cubs 2007 girls and boys Age requirements: Born in 2007 or younger
Free Skating Duration – Girls: 2 min., +/- 10 sec Duration – Boys: 2 min., 30 sec. +/- 10 sec.
A well-balanced Free Skating Program for Cubs and Basic Novice A must contain:
a) Maximum of 4 jump elements for Girls and Boys, and one of which must be an Axel type jump. There may be up to two (2) jump combinations or sequences. A jump sequence can contain any number of jumps, but only two most difficult jumps will be counted. A jump combination can contain only two jumps. Only two jumps with 1 ½, 2 or 2 ½ revolutions can be repeated either in a jump combination or in a jump sequence. Triple jumps are not permitted. b) There must be a maximum of two (2) spins of a different nature (abbreviation), one of which must be a spin combination with or without change of foot (minimum of six (6) revolutions in total) and one spin with no change of position and with or without change of foot (minimum of six (6) revolutions in total). c) There must be a maximum: c1. For Girls one (1) step sequence (2/3 Pattern ) and one spiral consisting one (1) spiral position at least 4 (four) sec long. The sequence (step or spiral) will have a fixed Base value and evaluated in GOE only. c2. For Boys maximum of one (1) step sequence with a fixed Base value and evaluated in GOE only. The Program Components are only judged in • Skating Skills • Performance/Execution The Factor of the Program Components is 2.5.
Levels explanations: For Cubs and Basic Novice A and B Singles, in all elements, which are subject to Levels, only features up to Level 3 will be counted. Any additional features will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. In case the number of entries requires, competitors will be divided into different age groups.
2) NON-ISU Recreational and Adult Single Figure Skating categories:
NON-ISU Recreational categories: Age group A1: born in 2004 or younger – Bronze level Time limit: 2 minutes 10 sec Age group A2: born in 2003-2002 – Bronze and Silver level Time limit: 2 minutes 10 sec Age group B: born in 2001-1999 – Bronze and Silver level Time limit: 2 minutes 40 sec Age group C: born in 1998-1996 – Bronze, Silver and Gold level Time limit: 2 minutes 40 sec
Adult categories: Age group A: born in 1995-1985 - Bronze, Silver and Gold level Time limit: 2 minutes 40 sec Age group B: born in 1984-1968 - Bronze, Silver and Gold level Time limit: 2 minutes 40 sec Age group C: born in 1967 and earlier– Bronze and Silver level Time limit: 2 minutes 10 sec

The Program Components are judged only in • Skating Skills • Performance/Execution • Interpretation
Requirements for all age groups: The programmes can be interpretative. Different portable or stationary tools and accessories – e.g.: hat, walking stick, shawl – is allowed during the programme, if it doesn’t disturb the performer and its soundness.
The music can be even vocal, but with appropriate lyrics. Exceeding the limit for the music is followed by 1 point deduction per 5 sec. Failing: 0,5 point penalty
